PROPHETIC SUNNAH & PROPHETIC MEDICINE
Sunnah means the way, method or style of life. Prophetic Sunnah is the preserved, documented knowledge from Prophetic sayings (hadiths), deeds, advice and teachings related to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Prophetic Medicine (in Arabic: Tibb Nabawi) is defined as medicine relating to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Prophetic medicine dates back to the Prophetic era in Makkah and Madinah, the two cities in Saudi Arabia (more than 1400 years ago). Prophetic medicine recommends cupping (Al-Hijamah) for treating many diseases and is considered as the best remedy.

“On the night of Israa (his ascension to the heavens) he did not pass by an angel except that it said to him,
‘Oh Muhammad, order your Ummah (nation) with cupping (Hijama)’.”

PROPHETIC MUHAMMAD (PEACE BE UPON HIM) SAID THE FOLLOWING:
“Indeed the best of remedies you have is cupping (Hijama)…”

“Whoever performs cupping (Hijama) on the 17th, 19th or 21st day (of the Islamic lunar month) then it is a cure for every disease.”

“Hijama/Cupping on the back of the neck treats seventy two illnesses”
